ATC would work with NPS and other partners to promote the inventory, assessment, and preservation of scenic and visual resources along the trail corridor. This includes continued participation in the NPS-sponsored Enjoy the View initiative and efforts to establish an Appalachian Trail visual resources working group to coordinate this work across jurisdictions and partner organizations.

ATC would provide project oversight and field support for NPS Exotic Plant Management Program-funded treatment of exotic plant species at the Day Mountain Natural Heritage Area. Separately, ATC would work with NPS and other stakeholders to promote large landscape conservation through the Appalachian Trail Landscape Partnership, reflecting an intent to connect site-level actions to broader conservation strategies across the trail landscape.
Finally, the agreement emphasizes accountability, documentation, and financial tracking. ATC would document volunteer contributions across all Appalachian Trail resource management projects, reinforcing the importance of volunteer labor as a measurable program output.
